Organising keys in small businesses and trade
Our key safes can also make an important contribution to key organisation for small businesses and trade.
Especially for companies that have to manage a large number of keys, it is essential to store them securely and only make them accessible to authorised groups of people at all times.
Securely storing keys to access sensitive areas
Keys to sensitive areas in particular – for the likes of filing cabinets containing confidential documents, safes, warehouses or certain machines – should be deposited in a well-protected location. But since company vehicles are usually used by several people too, the keys in question should be stored centrally.
Depending on the industry, some companies have to organise a very large number of keys indeed. For example, cleaning companies, property management companies, caretaker services, care services or other service providers often have a large number of customer keys that, frequently, are insufficiently securely stored in practice. In this situation, a key safe is the ideal solution.
Important keys – close at hand at all times
An important aspect in this regard is that the use of key safes also ensures that the keys are available on site at all times if they are not currently in use. Especially in small businesses where staff work shifts, key handover between shifts is common practice. With a key safe, it is no longer an issue if an employee finishes their shift early or the new shift starts late, for example.
Allocating time-limited access codes to employees, suppliers, service providers and customers
Particularly important keys that the likes of the master craftsman normally has can be handed over to other employees using time-limited access codes too. The access code can be generated online with extreme ease, then sent to employees by email or text message or using messenger apps.
Suppliers and service providers can also be granted temporary access in this way. This allows them to gain access independently and outside of working hours if necessary – for the likes of deliveries and collections, or repair and maintenance services.
Additionally, a key safe can also enhance customer service, since it enables customers to pick up or drop off items outside of regular business hours.
