masunt is expanding its product range to include another variant of the popular key safe. The masunt 2145 E Code key safe is the XL version of the 2140 E Code key safe. The 2145 E Code key safe relies on tried-and-tested quality and is just as robust and resistant. It offers more space with 21 key hooks that can be removed if necessary to enable storage and handover of larger items like tablets and laptops.

Classic use – innovative online code allocation

The 2145 E Code key safe can be operated the classic way with a manual code – assigned directly on the unit. But it’s the seven-digit online codes that make this key safe truly innovative. They can be generated using an online portal and are valid for a limited period of time only. The validity period can range from one hour to 365 days. What’s more, the online codes created in this way can be sent directly from the web portal to users by text message or email. Another helpful option is the text message code request feature. This allows authorised individuals with an ID to retrieve a code that is valid for two hours using the online portal. These retrievals are documented and can be traced. The online portal is operated by Codelocks Ltd., our cooperation partner. One credit each is required to generate an online code and for the text message code request feature. Areas of application and potential uses

Since it enables the allocation of time-limited online codes, the key safe is suitable for conveniently and contactlessly handing over a large number of keys to guests, employees or even service providers. The extra hooks also make the 2145 key safe ideal for the intended uses (organising and managing keys), so it could be an interesting solution for car rental companies and garages too.

The 2145 key safe is made of high-grade V4A stainless steel (AISI 316). In combination with the protected electronics, the key safe is suitable for outdoor use and is appropriately weatherproof.
